Insight, Straight from the Students

We asked students at the Law School a series of questions about what it’s really like to live and study at NYU. Here’s how they answered:

Where do you go in the city if you need to get away from campus and clear your head?

---

I like to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. It’s a nice walk through SoHo and Chinatown, and then across the water.

---

I go running along the path next to the Hudson River.

---

The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

---

Housing Works Used Book Cafe.

---

Never underestimate the head-clearing powers of an aimless walk around the city.

---

I go to Carroll Gardens in Brooklyn. It’s quiet, and you can sit in a yard or on a stoop and remember that there are places where the cabs don’t swerve and splash you with puddle water.

---

Take a walk around SoHo or Central Park, or go to any one of a thousand different coffee shops.

---

A bar, any bar. :-)

---

The Boat Basin on the Upper West Side.

---

The pier at the end of Charles Street. You stand over the Hudson River with an incredible view. It’s very relaxing.

---

At night, I’ll go to SOB’s, a salsa club on Varick Street, and during the day I’ll check out the Museum of Modern Art.
